Guys, I'm so excited to have Brittany Gibson on Bad Faith podcast today.

I was able to speak to her briefly on rising earlier this week about this really blockbuster

story that she wrote over at Politico that has to do with one of the most hotly watched

elections in the country right now.

Okay, so the story is titled Abrams as in Stacey Abrams campaign chair collected millions

in legal fees from voting rights organization, fair fight action, the non profit founded

by Abrams paid her close friend and allies law firm $9.4 million in 2019 and 2020

with two more years of billing yet to be disclosed.

Brittany, is this a black lives matters scandal part two?

I wouldn't go that far just because at least in this case, so fair fight action, they

raised $61 million to advance their cost of voting rights and fighting voter suppression.

This lawsuit was voting rights related.

It was about section two of the Voting Rights Act, first 14th of 15th Amendment.

It also had the potential to change voting laws in Georgia.

So it's not the same as buying, if I'm remembering the black lives matter story accurately,

really founders at the headquarters were buying their own homes and paying their family

members to be consultants and not doing work to advance the black lives matter mission,

fighting for brutality and proving the lives of black people.

So they were totally off the board not even doing anything close to what black lives matter.
