I want to begin by making a small point, and that small point is going to kind of roll into a larger point here

over the course of the next couple of minutes. We love offseason college football content.

People put out lists and ratings and things like that. And we've all, I mean, listen, as a college

football fan, I'm a consumer of that kind of content. I'm always enjoying that. And as someone

who kind of produces this show, we obviously use the kind of ongoing discussion about college football as a springboard for our own talk.

And we've done that now for a good number of years.

I just think that's kind of fun.

This is an entertainment product.

I find that to be entertaining.

Seems like a lot of you do there as well, which I'm very, very grateful for.

So one of the things that we get a lot

this time of year are the kind of like mathematical ratings. And, you know, some of the stuff that

comes out is just like one man's opinion. And some of the stuff that comes out is sort of supposedly

backed up by math. And I'm not against people who like the kind of so-called fancy

stats, the analytics that's the word you sometimes use. But as I get a little deeper into college

football, here's one of the things I've discovered is that the stuff that makes certain statistical

formulas more complicated, I'm not always quite so sure it's particularly

additive in terms of, hey, what makes it more difficult to understand? I'm not quite so sure
