In fact, when you hear us kind of lay all this out, you might come to the conclusion of, man,

this is about as off-season as it gets.

Total honesty here.

Like, we're transparent and kind of hopefully, you know, pretty self-aware.

I just mostly think this is funny because there'll be one or two, three maybe times

during a summer when something like this will occur and like it's sort of hard to kind of like

figure out exactly like how it is that everybody kind of got fired up about this, but every now

and then that just sort of happens. And as I said before, college football is different than

almost any other sport.

Major League Baseball's regular season in 162 games.

I mean, it feels like baseball just goes on forever.

If you like NASCAR, I mean, it really does feel like that goes on forever.

That's 40-something races, starts in February, ends in November.

I mean, that's essentially the entire year that their season goes on.

College football, we're different.

We've got 12 regular season games.

If you look at the calendar to begin a year, from January through December, there are a lot more

days and a lot more months without college football than there are with college football. We have the longest

off season, the shortest regular season. So therefore, we got to do something to kind of bite our
