| 1:12.2 | Well, Abby Blackburn. Well, Abby, it's so great to have you joining me on the Nothing Is Wasted podcast. Thanks for being here. Yeah, I'm really grateful. I'm excited. Well, you know, we were just having a little bit of conversation. I had to look down the clock and go, wait a minute, we've got to get started here because we were just having a great time talking about, you know, your life and my life and how our circles have already interchanged and exchanged. And so I'm glad to get to know you a little bit more on this, this conversation, this call, but I'm also glad |
| 1:18.0 | that our listeners have the opportunity to listen in to this because you've got an incredible story. |
| 1:23.2 | And they get to kind of sit with us at coffee right now and hear you share your story. |
| 1:28.8 | Yeah, I got some tea over here. Yes. Or is that what you're drinking right now is tea? I've got my coffee. You've got your tea. Yeah. And we're going to dive into this. You have a heartbreaking story and a story that, man, God has evidently shown up in huge ways. And so why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself, |
| 1:45.0 | your family, where you guys are, what you guys do, and then we'll dive into some of the, |
| 1:51.3 | some of the difficult things you guys have experienced. Okay. So I am a wife, primarily. I'm the |
| 1:57.8 | grateful wife of David. And we live in Hilton Head Island, the South Carolina |
| 2:02.0 | Low Country, with our three little boys. Yeah, so we've got boys, newly six, three and one. |
| 2:08.4 | It is busy and really loud here, usually. So I write, in addition to being a wife and a mom, |
| 2:16.5 | I write and I host a podcast for women who are walking through pregnancy loss. And then, yeah, I've written a book about pregnancy loss. And then I'm currently under contract for six children's books. So I just love to write and to teach God's word. And yeah, that's my joy. Wow. That's so cool. That's so cool. Well, yeah, you have this book held, you know, which is just an incredible, incredible book. I want to make sure that everybody, everybody, doesn't matter if they've, you know, experienced child loss or or miscarriage or knows somebody who has in their life. |
| 2:54.4 | I think that what you have brought out of this season of your life and put down on paper is going to be and is helpful for everybody. |
| 3:03.9 | And so that's what we find out so many times in these conversations, Abby, is that no matter what you've walked through, there are common denominators, common threads in all of our pain that we can glean from each other because it all points us back to a deeper and richer relationship with the Lord. And so I get to learn from, you know, people like yourself that they're walking through and have walked through things that I've not walked through. |
| 3:25.8 | And so I want to make sure everybody goes to that. |
| 3:28.4 | We'll talk about that in just a second, but it was birthed out of this thing you never |
| 3:32.4 | would have wanted to walk through, something that is so prevalent. |
| 3:35.3 | So many people have walked through miscarriage. |
| 3:38.8 | So why don't you go back and kind of tell us at least what you would |
