It is Tuesday. It's about 8.52 p.m. Eastern Time. And this might be the shortest podcast in the history of this medium.

But it is just me stepping into, I guess, break the news. I'm sure that you've already seen it at this point in time

that baseball is apparently going to be played this season and is now official and leased in the way

that it can be at this point in time. Obviously, there's health-related concerns that are still

out there in the ether, but with a few words issued by the Players Association and some tweets from reporters,

et cetera, et cetera. The news broke on Tuesday that there's going to be a major league baseball

season, so I want to break in tonight. I don't have anybody with me. It's just me. We will

have, I promise you, a deeper dive podcast with a guest or a co-host of mine or someone else

other than that in the next

couple of days. But before all of that comes to fruition, I only have a few minutes tonight to come

and talk about it. So here we are to break the news. Just to take you through what happens since our

last podcast, if you missed it, it's mostly irrelevant now, but please go back and listen to it and

it. It was Scott Nye on Sunday night about 46 hours ago or so.

Since then, basically, the Players Association rejected a 60-game proposal by a 33-5 margin.
