Hello and welcome back to another episode of the Truth Seekers podcast.

A Truth Secret is someone who wants to know the truth.

They search for what's true and they won't rest until they find it. I am a true seeker and if you

in the stories of the Bible. In our last episode we the

in our last episode we left the Israelites on their way out of Egypt.

God had sent Moses to deliver his people from under the cruel reign of Pharaoh.

This was a promise that God had made a long time ago

to Abraham and then to Abraham son Isaac and then to Isaac son Jacob.

God had promised Abraham that his family would be more numerous than the

stars in the sky and that they would live in the promised land of Canaan.

But that promise had been made over 400 years ago.

And it was over 400 years that Abraham's family, the Israelites, had been in slavery

under Pharaoh.

I wonder if they thought that God had forgotten them.

Do you ever think that God has forgotten you?

Do you ever wonder if his promises are really true?

I'm sure there are times that you are tempted to think God has forgotten you,

just like the Israelites were probably tempted to think that very same thing.

Can you remember what another word is for promise that we learned a while back?

If you said Covenant, then you have a very good memory.

Covenant is a promise, a binding agreement that cannot be broken.
