On yesterday's show, we spent a good bit of time talking about the Georgia defensive line,

the edge rushers, John Stenscombe's belief that that's the most interesting thing to watch for on G-Day on Saturday, and that is, in some respects, kind of a continuation of a little bit of a theme for us during the offseason, which is that if you want to really guarantee your best chance at competing for a national championship, if you're Georgia here this year,

best chance to do that might be upgrading the performance of,

if you sort of call it your front seven, that's fine, but it's sort of like defensive line,

plus edge rushing outside linebackers.

Getting more elite play from that group might be the most important thing for Georgia to do to really guarantee itself

the best chance of competing for a national championship again. And one of the things that makes

that conversation so intriguing are all the potential names who could make all of that just

so much more likely. We talked about Damon Wilson yesterday and all that kind of stuff. And I feel

pretty confident that we kind of are at least zeroing in on the right discussion when we're doing

those kinds of things. But what I find to be kind of fascinating is while I believe our talk yesterday

probably reflects the feelings of the fan base within the bubble of Dog Nation and those who are probably

watching Georgia most closely.

I do think it's really interesting, the more you're going to pull back from like, say,

10,000 feet outside the bubble, so to speak, of Dog Nation, the more it's a different

position group that seems to have people talking all the time.
