Here's your host, Brandon Adams. So Kirby Smart did something yesterday that he almost never does.

I started the show, was it Monday maybe?

I forget when it was.

Days sort of run together.

But I was talking about how, you know, we go through all of the various press

conferences, the things that Kirby says, the things that the players say, and as sort of a

medium-minded person, I'm looking for what's interesting. I'm looking for the most exciting quotes, and that's the stuff that I pull out. I probably sometimes make that stuff blow it up, make it bigger than it's supposed to be. And I joked earlier this week that Kirby probably hates that kind of thing, right? It's like, you know, Kirby likes for football to be kind of done talking with helmets, not the press conference, not the chat or not what the players say, but the action

being between the white lines. And so therefore, it sometimes seems like that Kirby Smart and the

football staff in Georgia kind of play defense against anything interesting being set around

spring practice. In sharp contrast to other programs that sometimes around this time of year,

we'll talk about all the stuff they're going to do and the players that are doing great.

And there's a lot of hype kind of intentionally so around some programs.

Georgia seems to go out of its way to avoid all of that kind of stuff.

And you all are, of course, quite aware of most of that.

However, a little bit of a counter example to that this week, and this is mostly in fun,

but we heard Kirby Smart give an individual compliment to a specific Georgia player in a way that he

almost never does.

Glowing praise for one player, the work ethic that he's showing, the way in which he's demonstrating himself apparently to be ready to play

for Georgia this season. I found this to be pretty remarkable, so much so that I wanted to

begin the show by talking to you about that today. The man's name is
