I'm sad. Why? Because of Maker Fair.

Oh, make. Yeah. My brother gave me the first four issues of make in a box set for Christmas probably 12 years ago maybe somewhere around there

not when they first came out but like after the fact and he gave me those and I think he and my sister-in-law gave me a subscription at the same time.

And I'd seen the magazine before, but I'd never actually had any of them or really looked through it.

And so once I had those four, I was like, oh, oh this and I've been getting them ever since

That's great my first experience was make my sister got it for me on newsstand

She's like hey, you ever heard of this you think this this except me you should be involved in and then a a couple years later, my buddy Dezier,

who knows Dale, he said, hey,

you got to meet my buddy Dale.

He makes this really cool magazine.

And I never put two and two together.

I never did get a chance to meet Dale, you know, through my buddy

Dezier. But then I got it, I signed up for Twitter when I did the TV show for Discovery Channel,

they told me you better get your name on Twitter and the very

first thing I got was a tweet from the organizers at Maker Fair.

They said hey we're going to be in New York, just watch your TV show you should come hang out

with us and I didn't realize the maker magazine and the make affair with the same thing.

So I got a direct message from somebody there on staff Brooklyn, Brooklyn Morris and I answered

it back and then I was like oh yeah I'll be there and then I was like, oh yeah, I'll be there.

And then it was like a month later and she's like, hey, you're going to be there tomorrow?

I'm like, oh, I forgot all about it.

I was like, you know what, let me go.
