Boy, so great to have you with us for the program here today, day two from our new studio,

and we're feeling really good about that.

And I want to begin this way, if you don't mind. I was thinking about

this. You all know I'm not like an NFL expert. Now, y'all may say I'm not an expert on anything, and you may be right to say that, but I am definitely not an NFL expert. But this time of year, we're all watching pro football. And listen, I'm just like anybody else. You know, I watch something for five minutes. I feel like I've got the whole thing figured out, and I watch a little bit of playoff football, and I sort of figure, I got the whole NFL figured out. This is, you know, I'm very certain in my mind, whether I'm right or not. Some of y'all may maybe know how that feels a little bit. But the best that I can tell, there are two ways to truly win big in the NFL. I believe

I've said this before, but there are two ways to win big in the NFL. You can be a team that's sort of

totally built around quarterback, the way that I would say the Kansas City Chiefs are. In fact,

I don't know that we've seen, like, you know, this sort of great tier of quarterbacks way that

Patrick Mahomes is in.

I don't know that we've seen a team be more quarterback dependent than I believe the Chiefs are

because the Chiefs don't have a great defense.

They really don't have much in the way of wide receivers.

Travis Kelsey gets a lot of attention, but I don't think he's as good a player now as he was years ago.

It's amazing to me how dependent seemingly the Kansas City

chiefs are on Patrick Mahomes for the success that they enjoy. That's sort of one archetype for how

you win in the NFL. You are almost solely, totally dependent on great play from a very expensive

franchise-style quarterback.

The flip side of that is kind of what I believe the San Francisco 49ers are.

You have good, competent quarterback play, but it comes from a guy on sort of a rookie contract, very inexpensive,

that sort of gives you dollars that you can spend other places.
