Here's your host, Brandon Adams. I am like most people

and that I don't really like change very much. And yet I'm also kind of aware because of the job that I do,

giving opinions for a living on a show like this, it is not a very interesting opinion just to be

against change for change sake. That's probably not something you necessarily want to do.

So when we're thinking about the things in college football, we're forced to confront that are

different, it's important, I think, for someone like me to look past the obvious idea of,

I'm not really quite so sure different is better. Sometimes it's more important to look a little bit

deeper than that and try to

find a different angle on that. Because to be honest with you, some of the changes that take

place in college football aren't always what I would say improvements. And I'm in this case not talking

about Transfer Portal or NIL, although in some respects, that's probably a conversation worth having.

What I'm actually talking about here is when you want to go back a

couple of years ago, when it was first announced that the SEC was going to be adding Texas

and Oklahoma, I wasn't very excited about it. And what was interesting to me is that not only was

I not very excited about it, most of you that I heard from weren't very excited about it there as well.

And that's a very interesting thing to consider, considering the fact that most of us in some

former fashion have like some SEC pride. Now, that's not to say that everybody's like

SEC, SEC chanting that all the time. But there is some thought of, hey, Georgia is the best team and the best conference,

and that kind of means something and that's sort of cool.
