Summary

Meredith and Kaytee return to your feed this week to chat about what we've been reading and what we plan to read in the coming year.

You'll hear a "bookish moment of the week" from each host: a reading project for you, our listeners, and New Year's gift from the library.

Next, we discuss what we are currently reading, and this week includes some new titles, some old ones, and one that (I'm sorry) will release at the end of the summer. Doesn't matter, you still want to hear about it.

This week's deep dive is a survey of our reading goals for the year. Some are very specific, some are more general, but both of us are excited about the Currently Reading Challenge!

As always, we finish up with A Book (yep, capitalized) that we'd like to press into every reader's hands: a brand new illustrated volume, and a short story fairy tale collection.

As always, time-stamped show notes are below with references to every book and resource we mentioned in this episode. If you'd like to listen first and not spoil the surprise, don't scroll down!

We are glad you're here. And one thing I actually right at the top, I would want to not forget to mention

0:50.7

Katie because we mentioned it at the end sometimes, but I want to mention it at the end sometimes but I want to mention it at the beginning

0:55.1

that we as everyone knows we don't do sponsors on the show right right and we

1:01.2

don't do a patron, right?

1:04.0

Right, we just opted not to, not that there's anything wrong with either one of those things at all.

1:08.0

We just have decided for us for now it's not the right thing.

1:11.0

But what we do do, what you do are these fantastic show notes.

1:16.0

And in the show notes you give us links to all the books that we talk to, that we talk about,

1:22.0

and we talked about how great those are but those are affiliate links

1:25.6

so do you want to talk a little bit about why they matter to us?

1:28.4

Yeah so we decided as a couple that we didn't want to break up our show with these ads and with

1:36.3

sponsorships and harassing you guys for money.

1:39.3

But we do have this affiliate link on Amazon and that's every single title in our show notes goes to that

1:43.7

affiliate link and it does not change the cost for you but it does give us a small

1:48.2

kickback and and we're talking tiny but everybody you know even if you're going to buy let's say a
