Hey, everybody. This is Father John Ricardo with Acts 29. And in the middle of all the craziness

and the uncertainty that's going on right now, it seems from our perspective as a team that it's

worth using these days to reflect in a more deliberate way on the scriptures every day, which

for many of us now is the only spiritual food that we're receiving. And so we're going to do a special podcast series simply entitled,

Be Not Afraid, God's Word in Uncertain Times.

And we'll try to post something every day, usually reflecting on the scriptures,

so that we can listen in on what God is trying to say to us in these days.

Turkeys, what they might be saying to us and something for you and me to consider today,

Friday, March 27th, those are the three probably rather odd things that came to mind for me

this morning as I was praying. First, turkeys. So I live with a priest's friend of

mine who was kind enough to take me in to live with him when the archbishop released me to begin this new

ministry that I'm a part of called Acts 29. So I've been living here since July, and not until last week have I ever in my life seen turkeys

walking around on the property where we live. We live in a neighborhood, so I don't quite

sure where these things are coming from, but they've just started showing up over the last

week or so. And this morning, as I was praying in the church, I kept hearing this loud, rather obnoxious

noise outside the front doors. And so I got up at one point and walked down the church and

there outside the door, literally standing at the door, as if it was knocking, trying to get in,

was this massive wild turkey. And I looked at the door as if it was knocking, trying to get in, was this massive wild turkey.

And I looked at it, and it kind of looked at me.

And all of a sudden I had this image of my mind of,

what are these things trying to teach us right now?

And I immediately was taken back to several scriptures that just came quickly to mine.
