George is chasing after that national championship trophy. It's in our studio today, courtesy of

our friends of Dr. Pepper. This is one of the great thrills for me professionally that I've ever had

to be broadcasting in such close proximity here to this in our tiny little studio. We got this

trophy on hand. It is a wonderful, wonderful thing. Now, I'll also tell you this. It's not just me

that gets a chance to be close to this today. If you want to be near the Walmart and Oakwood today

coming up from 1130 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. or the Walmart there, Epsbridge Road in Athens from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. If you want to be, you know, at those spots later on today here on this Friday, you have a chance to perhaps see the National Championship Trophy up close and personal as well, courtesy of Dr. Pepper. But they were kind enough today to bring this here to us, to give us a chance to have this here in our studio.

And I cannot tell you how much I appreciate that because, you know, it just makes the whole idea of gopher three and 23. It just rings a little bit more true. It's a little different when you got that trophy, the thing that George is chasing after. hopefully later on this year when Kirby Smart holds that up and kind of kisses it the way they did it last year

when Georgia players get their own chance to do that, it's the same trophy that's sitting here right now. They make a new one of these each and every year, and it's kind of fascinating to watch this going to be rolled in and kind of the pop and the circumstance that goes along with that. If you're watching on video, the gold part up at the top, that's 20 pounds. It's made by

the same people who make the Academy Awards, the Oscars. You know, you see those. It's basically

the same kind of process there on that. The base itself weighs 30 pounds, very heavy, very

substantial. It's traveled already 60,000 miles here this year, 72 different places,

which is kind of nice of our friends of Dr. Pepper to give other people a chance to see it because ultimately we know that the place that's going to stay is the place that has been the last two years right here at Georgia, but giving other folks a chance to see that. I guess that's probably kind of a nice thing to do. So kind of nice to allow folks to dream and have ambitions and aspirations, even if deep down we know go for three and 23 is a mission that georgia will complete and the national championship trophy will have
