Summary

We lost a great man yesterday. NBA referee Tony Brown's incredible battle with cancer ended at the age of 55. I got to know Tony pretty well and have been in contact with him as he fought this nasty battle with pancreatic cancer. I share some texts that I had with Tony and officiating in general. I think sometimes we as sports fans forget the men and women officiating our games are human beings too. They aren't perfect and neither are we! Rest in peace Tony! Learn more about your ad choices.
