and this is the show that talks about things in the Bible. The world doesn't want you to know.

And we are going to get into some cool stuff in the next two episodes, John. I like it.

We're going to talk about the Phoenician cartel. Are you familiar with that term, the Phoenicians?

I am now because I knew we were going to be talking about us.

Prior to.

But if you had asked me a week ago before you told me we were going to be talking about the Phoenicians, I would be like, is that like a casino in Las Vegas or something? I had no idea. So I did a little bit of research. Did you? Yeah. And I found out that they were an empire, you know, that lasted for, I think, 1,200 years. Yeah. But, yeah, it sounds like it could be a pretty intriguing topic. I think so. I had sort of a passing knowledge of them, kind of like when you were in school and you studied history. You studied a little bit about the Egyptians and the Greek Empire and the Roman Empire. And you knew the Phoenicians. And I always associated them with, well, they sailed. They had ships. They were like seafaring people. And I knew they were on a coastal region somewhere.

But if you told me where on a map were they?

I wouldn't have known.

Myself included, yeah.

And then I was surprised to discover.

And the reason I started looking into it was because of an article I read, a secular writer, that was himself a Jew, but he is not a, what you would say, a religious Jew.

You could call him, maybe you could call him like a secular Jew. I don't think he's an atheist.

But his name is Ron Unz. And he suggested something that kind of went, hmm, I never heard of that.

And we're going to get to that in our second part of the series, but we're going to start with a background in history of Phoenicia so we can get the gist of why we're going to go, where we're going with the cartel. Now, real quick, it is a civilization that disappeared, right? Which is kind of mysterious right there, that it just, it's part of our world history,

which I'm terrible about.

So, you know, thanks to Bible mysteries, I'm starting to become much better, obviously, right?
