Today we're going to be talking to Matt Brunig, the, and I mean this lovingly, nerdiest, dorkiest,

socialist that's out there.

And this is a dude who makes socialism appear like the

least threatening ideology in the world. Um, he's a genius. He's one of my favorite people to watch

talk about economics. Um, so we're going to talk to him probably about a variety of things, but also

healthcare, which obviously is a big issue because of Luigi Manjone.

So.

And because it's just in general a huge issue.

But yeah, he's been going back and forth with like some of the Matt Iglesias of the world.

Oh, he's been fighting with him?

I mean, I think, I don't know if it's been directly or more passive aggressively, but he's

been rebutting some of the bad arguments that have been made.

Like, for example, the argument that, oh, well, the real problem our health care system is just like these greedy doctors.

It's not really the health insurers whatsoever, et cetera, et cetera.

And so, I mean, he just has a great way of being like, well, here's the numbers.

Here's the studies.

And here's what they say.

And they do not back up your point of view. That's why I love this guy. Yeah. That's why I love it. He's big on a social wealth fund.

You know what that is? Yeah. Yeah. They have it in a bunch of the Scandinavian countries. And it's like a way to do socialism that's like not at all controversial in the sense that people love it.

Like I think even in Alaska, like they collectively own the oil wealth that's

under the ground.
