Hi, it's Paul here. We recorded this week's show just a few hours before we heard the sad news of Nicky Louders' passing.

Nicky, of course, was a absolute legend in Formula One and various other forms of motorsport as well, winning three World Drivers' Championships,

battling back from life-threatening injuries to carry on his race in career, and to younger fans he'll be remembered as the non-executive chairman of Mercedes

who worked along with Toto Wolf to make the team what they are.

All of us on the three legs, four wheels team would like to pass on our condolences to Nikki

Lounder's family, and we all think that he will be solely missed in the panic and by the F1 world in general.

It's only late because we're recording in several sections tonight. I think we'll start off with the first pre-recorded bit. Yeah. We have a guest this week. Yes, we do. And it's time for a jump cut. And we are here with our regular technical guest, Craig Scarborough. Welcome along, Craig. Hi, guys. How are you? Pretty good. How's things with you? Well, everything's rosy in my garden, to be honest. It's all good. I'm enjoying the season. I'm enjoying the, uh, the clement weather that we're having in England at the moment.

And we've got some interesting races coming up. So it was good. Definitely. Um, I guess we're at the start of the upgrade season now with, um, with F1 hit in Europe and the Barcelona test going on last week.

Any sort of early feelings on teams that have got things right?

Well, it's pretty tricky actually at the moment.

To be honest, I mean, I was really looking forward to Spain because as you say, it's like the start of the big upgrades.

And there really weren't the level of upgrades that I was expecting.

Bearing in mind, we've had the regulation change this year.

I thought everyone would come on with a really big step.

But there was probably only McLaren, Hasse, I mean, there were probably only two big

updates that we saw, but everyone else had just had bits and pieces. So it's tricky,

isn't it? Because this year, I think as much as we've had the regulation change, which has

been a big impact for the team on the, on the aero side, I think the bigger

impact is actually these new tires, with the common construction, the changing compounds

and obviously the thinner, the thinner tread. And I think everybody is at a slightly

different stage with them in trying to understand what the hell is going on. And, you know,
