Summary

One of the pleasures of hosting a podcast and be engaged in ministry is the sweetness of getting to rub shoulders with women who deeply love the Lord and are kindred spirits. Ellie Holcomb is such a woman. Her deep love for God, His word, a joyful reverence for life and a deep love for children combined to give us such a wonderful time to visit recently.

0:45.2	love and her name is Ellie Holcomb. Hi Ellie. Hi, I'm so happy to be here. Well Ellie and I have tried
0:54.3	this about four or five times and we're both just having network problems today so it must
0:59.0	mean that we're going to have a great show. I absolutely love what Ellie does. I love her that she's
1:06.1	a musician, she's a singer-songwriter and an author. And when I found out about her new project,
1:12.9	I thought this would be a perfect fit for what I've been talking about the last few weeks in
1:17.4	terms of discipleship and encouraging your children and surrounding them with an atmosphere of
1:23.7	all that is beautiful and good. And so I thought I would love to introduce you to what Ellie's
1:28.6	doing today. Ellie, tell us a little bit about yourself and about your family.
1:34.5	Yeah, I am a singer-songwriter. I've been close to me a lot of days on this.
1:40.2	It's a great title. Great. I feel very humbled and honored by that title of Ellie's gift of me.
1:49.0	But I think he calls me that because I work out my faith and my life through song. And so a lot of
1:56.9	times I'm sitting in the scripture and letting music come out of that time which is a great joy and
2:03.8	delight for me. And in the same breath as I'm doing that, we are raising two little kids and we're
2:12.1	about to welcome another one in a month. No, I'm so excited. We are so thrilled. The kids keep saying
2:19.3	we can't wait for our brother to be on the outside. Oh, I've got a five-year-old little girl,
2:27.6	Emily, a three-year-old hack and then a little baby boy on the way. That'll be fun. Your little
2:34.4	girl can be the princess of all the boys. Oh, she is so excited to be the special only girl.
