So before the show today, I tried to like dig through the internet to see if I could find

one of those old ESPN graphics or a shot of one of the old ESPN graphics.

I think we talked about this in one of the days this week. The idea of like showdown Saturday, ESPN, it seems like years ago, used to kind of put some like theming around a big weekend. and it seems like every year around this time late September, early October,

it's like just one of the biggest weekends of the year with like so many massive games.

And there's just a little bit of extra excitement because of the level of competition. And we're going to get into more of these games a little bit later on. There are so many good games on Saturday. It's sort of hard to talk about them all. Last week, you might say that there were so few at least on paper really good football games it was

hard to find enough to talk about for content and things like that this week gets one of those things

where there are so many that there are a handful that probably kind of fly under the radar that's a

really fun weekend and there are times in which the action away from Athens especially in this

era in which george's been so good,

and some of the games for Georgia have been rendered kind of non-competitive, there are moments

in a season in which the action away from Athens is so compelling that it actually might make

me slightly more interested in some of that than I might be in a Georgia game where it seems

like the outcome is already predetermined. Perhaps you maybe either heard in the sound of my voice or maybe I just said this overtly first couple of weeks, I was not that

into Georgia UT Martin. I was not that into Georgia ball state. I think we're kind of in an era now where

I think it is more than fair to question whether those games should even be played. And while

UAB on paper isn't really any better than UT. Martin or certainly

Ball State, Georgia is like a 42 point favorite on Saturday, for whatever reason, I am just way

more interested in this Georgia UAB game than any of the previous kind of cupcake-style games
