0:06.9	Welcome back everybody so today's episode is going to be a little different than our typical cases
0:36.9	and the subject matter will most likely be very disturbing for most of our listeners
0:44.3	but before we get started and dive into that aspect of it I do want to share some statistics with you
0:53.6	on average in the United States 38 children under the age of 15 die each year due to heat stroke from being left in a vehicle
1:03.8	Wow in 2022 33 children died from being left in a hot car and in 2023 so far two children have died
1:14.3	in Australia from 2000 to 2022 22 children have died after being left in a hot car
1:22.9	Wow in Europe the cases are much lower due to the lower temperatures and not as many people on the road who drive
1:31.8	but this tragedy does still occur there and there have been over 20 deaths since 2007
1:41.1	these horrible tragedies are 100% preventable and here are some tips provided by kids say worldwide to ensure that this never happens to you
1:52.9	they suggest keeping a teddy bear or something that reminds you of your child in the car seat when it's empty
2:01.0	and then when you put your child in the seat move that item to the front seat
2:06.2	Oh that's smart yeah next you could put your shoe or your phone in the seat with your child
2:13.7	so of course you're not going to go into work without one of your shoes on or your phone likely
2:19.1	so that's a good reminder to check the back seat
2:22.7	that's really smart I feel like the shoe one is really smart because it's like as soon as you get step out of
2:28.4	your the driver's seat you will notice that your shoe is on the right
2:33.5	another suggestion suggestions excuse me is to put the car seat on the passenger side of the back seat
2:39.4	so you can see them better from the driver's side which this is recommended for safety purposes
2:45.0	anyway when you only have one child obviously when you have multiple children you don't get that
2:49.1	luxury if you want to call it that but just having them where you can like easily reach back to
2:53.9	them or like you know look out of your shoulder and they're right there that's good to know because
