Here's your host, Brandon Adam. So there's a narrative that's been kind of forming

around Georgia, and I'm not quite so sure I'm on board with this being as significant or even as

real as some people seem to think that it is. It goes along these lines that, well, in 2021, when you

look at the Georgia defensive line, a national championship team was led by future first round

picks like Jordan Davis and Devonte White and Trayvon Walker. And last year, Georgia's second

straight national championship came while being led on the defensive line by a guy like Jalen

Carter, who may be the most talented player of all to play at Georgia over the course of the last

couple of years, obviously a first round pick, top 10 pick, getting ready to begin his NFL career.

And when you look at this current Georgia defensive line in 2023,

you don't necessarily see a Jalen Carter on that defensive line from the ranks of the

defensive tackles.

Or you don't necessarily see, you know, what Georgia had in 2021.

That's not quite what Georgia appears to have right now.

Now the reason why I don't necessarily buy into the narrative as it's currently being formed is what I think I see for

Georgia kind of taking shape is a much more conventional style of defense where Georgia's defensive

tackles function more like defensive tackles, not the superstar type

guy that Jalen Carter would have been, or perhaps a Jordan Davis would have been before that.

The Georgia's defensive lineman this year might be a little bit like what traditional defensive

linemen.
