Summary

Richie is joined by Victoria Rixon AKA The Honest Midwife. Last July, Victoria quit her job after seven years. She did so with a heavy heart. She had repeatedly warned her superiors of serious failings and questionable practices that were putting mothers and babies at risk. She was ignored. When she left, her trust seemed more concerned with shutting her up than addressing her questions. On today's show, Victoria tells Richie why traumatic birthing experiences can lead to poor health outcomes for mother and child and what can be done to improve childbirth.
