All right, before we get the show started in earnest, I want to take care of a couple of pieces of business here. First of all, tonight is a big night for us around Dog Nation, a chance for us to all get together in person. We're going to be live tonight at the Marlowe's Tavern in Brookhaven. This is a special happy hour to get together. That means the festivities start at 5 p.m. a little earlier than we oftentimes do, but we're going to be there hanging out, happy hour.

We're going to be making fun of those lousy, stinking gators before they go out there and lose to Utah. It's going to be a great time. We will see you there tonight, 5 p.m. for a happy hour hangout, and then a 6 p.m. broadcast. Also a little bit of a special time, a 6 p.m. broadcast for Dog Nation's happy hour. Now, Kaylee Mansell is going to host that. She's going to be in person there at the Marlowe's and Brookhaven. The entire Dog Nation team, I understand, going to be on hand for this there as well. So we'll see you tonight, 6 p.m. Marlowe's and Brookhaven for those of you here in the Atlanta area or those of you who can make it to the Atlanta area for a fun event because we always have folks who kind of come in from out of town for something like this. and then we'll kind of move on with what I want to open today's show with. It's never a very

comfortable feeling when you have to confront your own hypocrisy.

And most of us find hypocrisy pretty distasteful.

And yet most of us sometimes when we maybe don't want to admit it, but maybe many of us also

kind of have our own hypocritical moments.

I think for me, there's going to be an example of that on today's show.

One of the main things that I've talked about

here in the last few days in the lead up to tonight's SEC opener, Florida going, actually Vanderbilt

play week zero, that's not even true, but Florida going to play Utah tonight is, is I believe

there's been a huge overreaction to the Utah quarterback situation simply because this is week one and everybody's just so

Jones in for football that they're just so ready to see some sort of game played that every

storyline has been magnified more than it probably should be. We've talked about that a lot over the

course of the last couple of days. And yet even as I've kind of called at others from making too much of the quarterback
