Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Stephen King cast, one man's musings on the works of Stephen King.

Once I reviewed each of his works in the chronological order of publication, but Caught is a wheel, it all goes round again, and here I am, once more on a new phase of the journey, to examine each of the endings of the works of Stephen King to determine whether or not he deserves his reputation for having an inability to successfully land his endings.

The focus of the podcast will be to examine the climax, falling action, and resolution to the endings of each of his novels and break it down by character, themes, conflict conflict and plot to determine whether or not it

meets the criteria of being an objectively good ending i will also weigh in on whether or not

i happen to personally like the ending and today at long last long last i'm going to be talking about

the colorado kid so guys, many of you throughout the years have written to me and requested the Colorado Kid.

I had a bet with all of you that if I reached 500 likes on iTunes, I would review the Colorado Kid.

And here we are.

Here's my history with the Colorado Kid.

I did not read it when it first came out.

It took me a long time.

I actually read Joyland first, and, yeah, then I just wound up reading it once I got the 500 likes.

But as part of the, you know, the hard crime, you know, books that King did, I wasn't interested.

And when it was first published, it was coming off the heels of the Dark Tower.

And for longtime listeners, you'll know that when the ending to the Dark Tower first hit, when it was first

published, I did not like it. So, you know, obviously things changed. My, uh, my taste changed.

My appreciation grew. I had more of an insight and understanding and, you know, I came to realize that just because i didn't get

the thing that i wanted doesn't mean that it was inherently bad um but anyway to just put into
