from the old Franklin house outside Childress, Texas, discussing the 1974 classic slasher,

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. This film was directed by Toby Hooper, who wrote the screenplay

with Kim Hinkle. Perhaps the first film to capitalize on a based on a true story premise,

the Texas Chainsaw Massacre quickly became a caution on a true story premise, the Texas chainsaw massacre

Edwin Neal's hand and thank him for an 18% drop in crime rate after the movie was released.

While the actual events are fictional, the inspiration for the character Leatherface

remakes and sequels, none have come close to

the beloved status of the original.

What did you guys think of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre

the first time you saw it? I remember

watching this very young

and being terrified.

I bet. Yeah. But I

seen this quite a bit and I watched the sequels, which is for another time.

But I love this movie.

I think it's great.
