Summary

A woman tells the story of her successful father being taken advantage of by the sketchy people he surrounds himself with. Including the series of increasingly terrible women he dates. Eventually, he starts dating a woman who is far worse than the rest and earns her the nickname "The Black Widow". Things gradually go from bad to worse as the family does their best to adapt, until everything is interrupted by an unexpected visit to a mysterious clairvoyant woman. 0:13.1	This episode is one that I started working on a long while back.
0:17.4	In fact, I started working on it before Otherworld was even a podcast at all.
0:22.4	Now, typically, the stories you hear on this show are ones that I find, but I feel like
0:27.9	this story kind of found me.
0:30.8	I'm not even sure if Otherworld would exist at all if I didn't end up stumbling across
0:34.8	this story.
0:36.4	And the way I found it is a very weird situation in and of itself.
0:42.5	So this was July of last year.
0:46.2	I was working on a completely unrelated project with two people that I didn't know really
0:51.3	well at all.
0:52.8	We were kind of colleagues.
0:54.4	I don't think I really knew either of them too much before it, but they did know that
0:58.8	I was kind of kicking around the idea of making a paranormal podcast because I was talking
1:02.8	about it a lot, but essentially, Otherworld was just an idea at that point.
1:07.6	So we had just finished up a long meeting, and we were all packing up our stuff to head
1:11.9	out.
1:12.9	And I overhear these two kind of whispering and chattering about a clear voient.
1:18.6	When I heard this, obviously my ears perked up, I'm a very curious person.
1:24.3	And I was basically like, wait, what are you guys talking about?
1:28.8	Here you say, clear voient.
1:31.1	And they tried to brush it off.
