Well, it's nice to be back, everybody. I'm running on a little sleep today, which, you know, according to the principles of practice,

means that my ego defenses are weakened and hopefully something even more beautiful can come

through me in this state of ultra fatigue.

We can hope, right?

I got some story for you today.

There's a simple message here, but it takes a little story to get to,

and I'm really looking forward to sharing the story because it's just like a story of one of the greats, you know, a person whose life really inspires me, I think has touched many.

And I think you'll find as you listen, it's a life that applies to all of us.

So I just want to talk a little bit about the great sage,

Ramana Maharshi. Perhaps you've heard of this sage from the Hindu tradition, specifically

Advaita, or the non-dual tradition of Hinduism.

So, Romana, let me say a few things about him, and then I want to draw from a story that Lex

Hickson writes about Romana Maharshi in his classic book, Coming Home.

So sidebar, if you haven't heard of Lex Hicksen

or haven't read his classic Coming Home,

it's just a beautiful survey of awakening

or coming home in the world's religious traditions.

So some very elegant storytelling

as well as just beautiful insights into the practice.
