the practice and principle of Mormon polygamy and all the doctrine and theology behind it.

And today we are focusing on one of the wives of Joseph Smith.

But today we're starting with a very famous woman, a woman that sort of marked Joseph

Smith because she has a lot of history.

And her name is Emily Dow Partridge.

And when I, when I have a lot of narrative to read, I have a reader come and read for us.

So I'm having Stephanie Newton read for Emily today. So let's get into Emily's life.

She's one of my favorite women in this series, and it's going to be a long episode.

I was born on the 28th of February 1824 in Painesville, Georgia County, Ohio.

I was the third daughter of Edward and Lydia Clisbee Partridge. My parents emigrated from
