The case I'm about to cover is complicated,

a lot more complicated than it appears.

On the outset, the answer to the case seems obvious. A man goes to San Francisco to collect

a bounty of drugs for his medical marijuana business and disappears.

Occam's razor, the idea that the answer with the simplest explanation is the best, would say

it was a drug deal gone wrong. However, if there's one thing I've learned over the past

19 episodes of producing this podcast, is that when it comes to unsolved missing persons

cases, the simplest explanations are by no means the most correct.

The last reported sighting of Cameron Rimmer was the evening of October 6th, 2011.

He had traveled to San Francisco to buy between 30,000 and 40,000000 worth of drugs and paraphernalia. The night he disappeared, he had just returned

to the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco, where he had stayed the previous night, but had checked out from earlier that morning.

He went to the Tongga Bar located inside the hotel,

and according to various reports,
