Gerdings Dear listeners, this is Jonah Goldberg and this is the second episode of The Remnant

with I guess Jonah Goldberg and I have in the studio here my sort of producer type

person he's a communications guy here at the American Enterprise Institute expert on

all things podcastery and how did you think it went?

I really enjoyed it, Sass had some great stories and yeah it was the first one so I'm looking

forward to what it turns into.

So it's weird, again I don't think this kind of thing came naturally to me, a lot of

people in the audience were very supportive, sympathetic, you know I got a lot of great

feedback and I'm still haven't made up my mind about it, it feels it's weird though

because we already did it right and so I'm sort of committed and you know back in the

old days when I did most of my drinking outside socially rather than bitterly sitting

at my on my couch, I used to live in Adams Morgan and a friend of mine turned me on

to this spicy Jamaican beef patty at 7-11 at 3 in the morning and for those of you

don't know and I congratulate you on not knowing, they're absolutely delicious small pockets

of bacterial death and meningitis and there are horrible things right and it reminds

me of the Cuban sandwich I used to get at Trinity Deli outside of Catholic University,

best Cuban sandwich in the city but I don't know why that was the case.

Well there was something special about this because it would soak up the extra booze

in you because it was just so full of grease right and you know it would leak grease down

your arm the same way blood would leak down an arm if you held it up a severed head right

and it was disgusting and I would always have this sort of existential panic about the first
