This week we're talking with Theresa Marie Hardy, who's the lead singer of The People Brothers Band,

which is a very cool Midwest band. If you haven't heard them check them out.

Also this was a pre-Covid interview and hence our lack of social distancing and or masks.

We did it at the up north bar in Madison.

Is that the one right next to the

Essen House? Yes actually it is. The one where they put the the beer in the

boots, you know and the you says doss boot and then you drink it up. Yep, that's the one.

Just trying to clarify, let's get to the interview.

So I'm here with Teresa Marie from People Brothers Band.

Thank you so much for hanging.

We are talking in a pretty appropriate setting I would say the up north pub in

Madison Wisconsin tell us what how did you get started playing with them this is the funnest story probably of a way that a band could start ever.

Before I ever met them they were doing an open mic down at the comeback in and it was

most of the guys in the band were already doing it. I moved here in

2009 at the end of 2009 and I've always done music my entire life.

So when I moved here, I gravitated towards wherever the music was.

And the owner of this bar and this whole establishment is from my hometown, New London.

And so I kind of, I worked at all of the bars I knew the open mic was happening
