Joe Heshmire who joins us for our Linton series. It's Lent and for our Linton series we're

digging into the Passion through the Lens and the vantage point of the characters of

The Passion. So looking at the Passion through the Eyes of Mary is where we're starting.

It's not an insignificant choice to start with Mary. You look at the great saints and

Louis de Montfort and talking about the best way to reach Christ is through his mother.

And so we figured what better way to start a Linden podcast and a podcast series than to go to Christ through Mary.

So the three major points that we want people to take away

from this podcast are number one.

Mary's whole life is tied to the passion, especially the death and

resurrection of her son Jesus Christ. Point number two, Mary stands fast.

Will all the apostles run away because she's carried by faith and love

rather than trusting in her own strength. And finally, point number three, all these things

are a model for us. We need Mary in devotion in our own lives and we need to

imitate Mary in our love for Christ.

We are discovering how Mary's life, her whole life, is centered around the passion.

And so to dig into that deeper, let's look at the joyful mysteries, starting with the

nativity and the gifts of the magi.
