Welcome to this second episode of EU Watchdog Radio. Today I'll be talking with Nina Holland and Kenneth Hart, both researchers at Corporate Europe Observatory.

We're going to be talking about a strange beast that we thought was basically in coma,

which is called TTIP, the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership,

a trade deal between Europe and America, and what kind of consequences that

deal might have and the trade talks that have been revived.

But first, before we dive into the nitty-gritty stuff, Nina, could you tell me CEO, what kind

of work is CEO doing?

CEO is a lobby watchdog organization, which means that we do research and campaigning on the different ways that corporations manage to influence decision making. Mostly at the EU, but we also look at other levels such as WTO or UN.

And we do that on a wide variety of topics, ranging from agriculture to trade, to climate.

So what are the fossil fuel companies doing, but also what are the banking, the banks doing?

And we have an office here in Brussels, but we also have people based all over Europe.
