And then he left and he went around to a bunch of different teams.

He finally landed with the Seattle Seahawks as a backup to Russell Wilson.

Russell Wilson gets traded to the Broncos.

And Pete Carroll decides to stick with Gino Smith, Pete Carroll, who also had a strange tenure here with the New York Jets.

And so Pete Carroll and Gino Smith team up together in Seattle, and Gino Smith plays really, really well.
