As many of you know, my primary role is to support professional athletes and coaches in helping them engineer systems for success.

Or in other words, to help them trust the process. Now that phrase trust the process is so watered down for some people that they actually

don't even like the phrase anymore because they don't even know what it means.

It's so benign.

It's so general.

It's so vanilla.

People don't know what it even means.

Now, with our work, with my work with these athletes, we really get down to what it even means. Now, with our work, with my work with these athletes, we really get down to

what it actually means. Now, trust the process involves a number of different variables.

Number one, your process needs an output. Every system needs a purpose. What is the goal or the output of your process?

What do you want it to achieve?

That's where we need to start.

Number two is the why.

Why do you want to achieve that output?

Why do you want that outcome from the process?

This is where the juice comes. when you know why you do what

you do you're going to have more power to do it number three are your inputs what are the things

that you have 100% control over that if you do these things it increases the probability of

achieving the output these are your output. These are your roots. The output are your fruits.

If you water the seed, which are your inputs, if you do these things, it will increase the

probability of your outputs, almost to the point to where it's inevitable that you're going,
