2005. I recently heard an interview by John Mayer, the artist, and he was talking about

his interactions with Steve Jobs when he was alive. And he said that every single time Steve Jobs

was around him, Steve Jobs would always give him John Mayer the same advice.

Greatness is communicated in everything you do.

And you just keep telling him that.

Greatness is communicated in everything you do.

From the font on your album to the colors, to how it looks, to how you look on stage, to your

guitar, to the way you sing. Greatness is communicated in everything you do. And Steve Jobs

was known for that. He was known for telling his employees that even though people can't see the

inside of a computer, an Apple computer or the inside of an iPhone, if you open it up,

it better be beautiful because greatness is communicated in everything you do. And it got me thinking,

got me thinking about all of you listening, got me thinking about myself. Am I communicating

greatness and everything that I do? Are you communicating greatness and everything you do?

Now, for some people, that sounds exhausting. I can't do that. But then for others, you're so obsessed.

You're so driven to be great. You're willing to take a look at all the details.

Every tiny little thing, making sure the T's are crossed, the eyes are dotted so that you can put

yourself in the best position to be great. And so my question to you is if if everything you do

communicates greatness, what aspects of your life, what aspect of your game, what aspect of

your leadership, your parenting, your relationships, do you need to

clean up to signal that you're serious and you're committed about what you do? And as you clean

things up a little bit, you'll start noticing little improvements, little strides in your pursuit
