Good morning and welcome to the Increase Your Impact Podcast. I'm Justin Sua, episode 2016.

Today, the principle is you catch what you're close to. You catch what you're close to.

Just like we catch illnesses, just like a football receiver catches a football, just like you can catch feelings for someone and in the in the language of

the streets catching people's hands if you're getting too close you catch what you're close to

in addition to catching those things a lot of times we can catch people other people's

habits we can catch their attitudes we We can catch their beliefs. We can

catch the way they treat people. We can catch their goals. And so that's why it's so important

to be very mindful of the people you surround yourself with because you can end up catching

the things that they value as important.

And there were moments in my life where

because I was in an environment for so long

and around people who are great by the way,

who are wonderful, but what ended up happening,

I started to catch the things that they value as important, which in the reality, when I got

alone, when I was by myself, I ended up realizing that those things aren't important to me.

But when you're around a group of people where those things are important, you start to catch

And you start to focus on things that in a big scheme of things don't really matter to you. You begin to adopt

their mindset, adopt their goals, adopt their habits, and you end up transforming and evolving

into a version that you probably didn't anticipate. And so today's invitation is twofold.

Number one is to look at yourself in the mirror and ask

yourself, are my habits and beliefs and my attitudes and my perspective is worth catching?
