quote from John D. Rockefeller, a poem that he would recite to himself. And here it is. A wise old

owl lived in an oak. The more he saw, the less he spoke. The less he spoke, the more he heard.

Why aren't we all like that old bird? This is a short episode. Today, my invitation to you is to

listen more. Listen like this wise old owl. I've heard that there's a reason we have two ears and one mouth

so that we can list so that we listen two times more than we speak. We may be in positions where we

have a lot to say. We have insight. We have thoughts. We have ideas. We have opinions. But today,

let's be like this old owl and listen more so that we can hear more

and understand more. Stephen R. Covey has one of my favorite quotes about communication.

Seek to be, seek to understand before you seek to be understood.

I think that's sage advice that we can all take and use
