There an echo in here?

Hey, this is Tom Vassel.

Before we get into the meat of this episode, before we get it started, I want to explain why it's over a week late and why we didn't have anything in the meantime.

And that's because many of you have been following about my son, Jack, who was born a couple months ago, and he was born about two months premature.

It was a bit of a roller coaster as we contracted E. coli meningitis a day after he was born

and then got a second case of it. And sadly, two weeks ago from when I'm recording this,

Jack passed away.

And so that's kept me pretty busy, as you might imagine.

I'm just really not in the mood to record podcasts. But I'm back and we'll continue to go on.

But I wanted to say huge thank you to all the listeners who email me. I got

cards. Just an overwhelming thank you to everybody. Especially, I mean, game companies have rallied

around me, people from all across the board. It's been really just absolutely amazing, both to me

and my wife, as we've watched it. And so, you know, you're not going to hear anything in this

episode about that, because we recorded this before any of that happened. And so it might,

it might be a little bit jarring, but I'm just going to put the episode out in its

entirety.
