0:34.6	Hi, everyone. I usually start this podcast out by saying, I hope you all had a good week, but for those of
0:40.9	you based in the U.S., it has been a really, really rough one. As you all know, this past Tuesday,
0:48.0	19 school children and two teachers were gone down in Uvalde, Texas. And I know so many of you are parents of
0:58.3	elementary students. Many of you are teachers yourselves and just like my heart goes out to all of you.
1:05.7	At this point, it is an act of bravery to send your children to school.
1:15.9	And I'm almost at a loss for words.
1:25.6	Gun violence has overtaken vehicle crashes as being the leading killer of children and teenagers in the United States.
1:30.1	And if you care about this issue, or if you care about any issue, I really encourage you all to call your members of Congress and especially your senators.
1:38.8	I live in D.C., so I don't have any senators, but I really urge you to call yours and make your voice heard.
1:46.8	You know, speaking as someone who lives and works in D.C., like, I know who these people are that
1:51.9	answer the phones. And the people who call routinely, it does make a difference. You know,
1:58.2	back in the summer of 2009, people were getting inundated with
2:03.3	phone calls worried about the Affordable Care Act. And many members of Congress voted how they
2:10.7	voted because of what their constituents were concerned about. And so I just invite you all to raise your voices,
2:20.7	whether it's about gun violence or any other issue that you really care about. Also,
2:26.7	you know, call your, you know, representatives in your state legislature. You have a representative,
2:33.8	you have senators, you know, they have phone
2:37.8	numbers, they have offices all over the state that you live in. Call, bother them, like cause a ruckus,
2:46.7	write letters to the editor in your local paper about whatever issue it is that you care about.
2:52.6	I just I just encourage those of you based in the U.S. who have feelings about things to, you know,
