of one of our favorite ever guests who first appeared on the show in those halcyon days of summer

2012 when all this was fields and you could always leave your front door unlocked.

In December 2020 he dropped a superb new album, God Muffin recorded almost entirely solo at his

bare-bones home studio in LA and he joined us over

Zoom from that very location a few weeks before its release. We're delighted to

welcome back to the podcast the Magnificent Mike viola. I'd say if anyone

merits a second appearance it's Mike not off I mean we'd only

he just discovered his music when we spoke to him back in episode 20 hadn't

we yeah we both became instant fans, didn't we?

Yeah, but I think it's fair to say that in the years since he's become one of our favorite singers and song great as ever.

Oh, absolutely, yeah. I mean, he's not only a gifted artist, but he's very attuned to the creative process isn't he?

He is which of course makes him the perfect interview subject for a podcast of this

nature. He's also just a great guy too I mean we've kept in touch with

them over the years too haven't we?

Yeah and he's become a real champion of what we do which is lovely.

Would you go so far as to call Mike a friend of the show?

I certainly would in fact he should have received his engraved cuff links by now.

I remember that very shortly after our 2012 interview I actually got to see my play live.
