Hi, I'm John Paul Vasquez. Hi, I'm Travis Hunter. This week, we were recording live from the King's Trail discussing the 2017 psychological folk horror film, The Ritual.

This film is directed by David Bruckner with the screenplay by Joe Barton based on the novel with the same name by Adam Neville.

Filmed on location, the ritual uses its setting to its advantage, displaying both the awesome beauty and the fearful reverence of ancient lands.

The ritual explores themes of grief, guilt, and the complications of long-term friendships,

while still maintaining dreadful atmosphere in a mythical mystery.
