It's fascinating. It changes you. Definitely.

First thing it's changed, I would say, is my driving.

Like when I first drove home from the hospital with Sarah and the baby in the back,

the level of attention that I gave to everything that I was doing and that I attempted to give to what everyone

else around me was doing was amplified about a million times. I wasn't thinking about that.

It wasn't conscious. It just was happening. And that effect is stuck with me even when I'm the only

one in the car. I'm driving around now as if I had a child in the car and find myself just identifying

all the forms of aggression that other drivers exhibit

that normally didn't bother me before because they weren't necessarily dangerous.

They were just aggressive.

And now I'm looking at it and I'm like, that's really pointless.
