Today's guest is someone whose embodiment of courage and power is reflected through her physical

prowess as much as her inner strength. Being one, also known as Killer B, is a 4-11 professional

MMA mixed martial arts fighter, actress whom you may recognize from Survivors Season 37,

and self-defense coach. From a young age, this Vietnamese refugee learned how to work hard

and fend for herself. At the age of 14, she ran away from home and was in an abusive relationship

from 16 to age 20. After escaping that relationship, B sought an outlet, a way for her to reclaim

her power, which she'd grown disconnected from during those especially tumultuous years.

Today, B's work includes sports agency and representing mentoring female athletes,

and also focuses on empowering women to raise her voice. Special thanks to Isabel Tran,

B's niece and ABG listener who made this introduction, and our initial correspondence is about

sweetly said, I may be biased as her niece, but watching my aunt's journey as an immigrant

domestic violence survivor and now Boss Girl has been a truly humbling experience.
