Hello everyone and welcome to the Stephen King cast, One Man's Musings on the Works of Stephen King. Each week I will review one entry in the bibliography of Stephen King and the chronological order of publication. And this week I am reviewing episode five of Hulu's Castle Rock, a show which as of today, as I record this, was just announced that it is officially coming back for season

two. So last week in my interview with Dusty Thomason, I'd ask, when are we going to hear

some news? He played it. He played it coy as he should have. But thankfully, we didn't have

to wait too long uh it has been

officially announced on variety that uh castle rock season two will be coming and for anyone

that has been paying attention to what that means for castle rock it it means that i don't expect

the further adventures of henryaver or even Alan Pangborn.

Whatever as I record this, like I said, it's episode five.

By the time this is released, episode six will be out, which I have not seen yet.

I don't have screeners.

I don't have any inside scoop.

But episode six will be out.

We'll be one step closer to the conclusion of season one but whatever

the mystery is the mystery will be concluded and the show was designed to be one of the modern

anthology shows in the vein of American horror story or Fargo and and Castle Rock is following suit, which means that

Season 2, presumably, will be comprised entirely of new characters, possibly a different time

period.

I don't know.

I mean, it could take place back in Castle Rock's sordid history. It could take place before the events

by a year or two of what we have seen in this season. It could take place

you know, 10 years down the road. Who knows? It could take place in an

adjacent Stephen King small town because there is nothing to say that it doesn't explore the other towns

...
