I'm your host, Jeff Crudell. The President Hello, everyone, and welcome back to the podcast.

Today's episode is episode 191, and it's the second in a mini-series wander that we are doing on the Secret Service.

0:55.4

And the question of whether the Secret Service or some element of it may have been involved in a wider conspiracy to assassinate President Kennedy.

1:03.4

We got started on this wander in the last episode, really as a result of some of the controversy that is beginning to brew around the book that's

1:11.5

about to come out in the next couple of weeks by an 88-year-old Secret Service agent Paul Landis,

1:17.6

who was there participating in the presidential motorcade in Dallas in Dealey Plaza on November 22,

2:11.6

in the assassination of the President. But as you might expect, their articulation of that was done carefully,

2:19.8

and rightly so. But again, we always have to consider the source when we are making our own

2:26.1

conclusions on what to believe and what to be skeptical about. Again, I think to be objective,

2:33.6

we have to start with what was a fairly exhaustive and significant

2:37.5

discussion of these topics by the Warren Commission itself. And so, over the course of the next

2:44.3

several episodes, we're actually going to read verbatim what was in the Warren Commission about
