Summary
Seeing isn't always a prerequisite for belief. In fact, oftentimes the things we believe in the most strongly are invisible to our naked eyes. But when we experience those invisible things through pain and physical attacks, our belief can become deep, paralyzing fear.

| 0:00.0 | In 1890, the tiny Greek village of Messeria on the island of Kifnos was plagued by something |
| 0:17.1 | otherworldly. Whatever it was, the villagers claimed that it would enter their homes, eat |
| 0:22.8 | their food, break their dishes, and then move on to repeat itself elsewhere. They named |
| 0:28.9 | this creature And the Labyrinth, and it claimed it was of Rikolakis, a close cousin to the |
| 0:34.7 | traditional European vampire. And the Labyrinth drank their wine and smashed their belongings, |
| 0:41.5 | howling like a wolf, and making a loud, horrible mess. |
| 0:45.7 | But the most interesting feature of this story is that no one actually saw And the Labyrinth |
| 0:51.8 | do these things. The villagers claimed to witness it all, of course, but they said he was |
| 0:57.3 | invisible. He was, in essence, a noisy spirit, but the only cultural lens they were able to |

| 1:37.6 | easily disproven is now attracting the attention of popular culture. But Poltergeist have a |
| 1:43.6 | history that runs far deeper than just the 1980s. From first century Roman accounts, the |
| 1:49.9 | modern newspapers, the stories of humans interacting with angry ghosts, has been told for a very, |
| 1:56.3 | very long time. Some are clearly hoaxes. Some are misinterpretations of natural events. |
| 2:04.8 | Often times they are a grab for attention or a cry for help. But sometimes, on very rare |
| 2:12.1 | occasions, a story comes along that is nothing short of haunting. I'm Aaron Manke, and this |
| 2:21.7 | is lore. |
| 2:36.6 | The word Poltergeist evokes a number of ideas for most people. Most think about the movie. |
