But no matter how senseless and unjustifiable, there's almost always a reason that a human being decides to kill another human being.

It's part of our social contract.

Without that social contract, there would be no such thing as civilization.

Our institutions would collapse into chaos and anarchy.

Even animals, which we tend to see through the lens of moral superiority,

don't kill their own kind without an actual reason.

So what if I told you that some human beings kill for absolutely no reason at all. Stay tuned. tuned. The Marpole is a neighborhood in Vancouver, British Columbia.

It's a mixed population of just under 25,000 people, including approximately 44% Chinese,

31% European, and a mixed bag of other various ethnic groups.

You could almost consider it a small town based on its population, but in reality, it

totals only two square miles.

More than half of Marpol's residents weren't born in Canada, making it a real mishmash

of immigrants largely from Eastern Asia.

For the wealthy west side of Vancouver, it's the most affordable area.

And it's safe, too.
