Hello everyone and welcome to the Pink Bike Podcast. My name is Henry and this week I'm joined by Alicia and Kaz. But there needs to be a bit of an acknowledgement because we're going to start

doing podcasts maybe a little bit differently. You see, when we record podcasts, they tend to be

a lot more fun and in my personal experience better when we do the bulk of the conversation

in person. This means that sometimes we stack these conversations and then it's hard to integrate

an element of sort of topical

news because they might have been recorded a week or two previously. So what we're going to do is

going to do a preliminary conversation where we discuss some news which we record remotely.

And then we're going to go into a different conversation that we had. So with that in mind,

Alicia, I believe you prepared some news pieces for us to

help understand what the hell is going on in mountain biking at the moment as well as some of the

biggest news stories. Sure. I'm glad to be here and we're all just recovering from crankworks

right now. So it seems like that is what we should focus on this time with news. They had a bunch

of racing through the week, actually about 10 days, some more than a week.

Race results, Enduro, was dominated by Jesse Melamette and Brittany Phelan, who both are sort of local heroes.

Joyride, Emil Johansson, kind of unsurprisingly.

Sweden's style was won by Garrett Meckham and Harriet known as has Burbage Smith,

solemn Jackson's Frue, and also Harriet has Burbage Smith. Whipoff was dominated by Eddie Reynolds

and Vinnie Armstrong and then Pumptrack was Du Hoto, Ariki Pene, and Keelani Hines.

Airdy-DH, unsurprisingly, was Sam Bleckenzop and Jill Kittner, and then we saw the

1199 downhill race for the first time, won by Jacob Jewett and Valley Hall.

That was a lot of a week.
